Prayer of a Muslim for Gaza and Other Oppressed People
Bismillaahi Ar-Rahmaani Ar-Raheem,
Yaa Allah,
Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem, Al-Azeez Al-Hakeem,
I testify that there is none worthy of worship other than You, and as consequence of that I submit all my life and death for You and none other than You.
I realize that this life is nothing but an illusion and a test. I realize that the whole purpose in this life is to submit completely to You and no other than You. I realize that such submission is the one and only way to pass the test, and even so is only by Your Mercy. I ask none other than guidance so I do not go astray and find my way to You.
You Know more than I do on what is going on in Gaza. That land and the people involved have been through that fitna since eons ago, and only You know for how long will it last. Strength only comes from You, thus only to You I pray for it.
Yaa Allah, I pray for the strength and perseverance of the oppressed.
I pray for the fighters who die, to protect their land and family and religion, to be granted straight access to jannat. Such a death is a struggle in Your Cause, and by Your Mercy, is glad tidings for them.
I pray for the fighters who survive be given strength to fight on to protect their land, family, and religion. There is no limit to what You are capable of, and You have promised them victory. I pray they stay steadfast and strong until that day comes, and they die one day with a smile and praising You for such a victory. By Your permission this is glad tidings for them.
I pray for the families who have died at the hands of the oppressors, to be granted straight access to jannat. Please grant them the best of death upon belief of Your One-ness, so that such a death is truly glad tidings for them.
I pray for the families and children who survive to remain steadfast and seek refuge to You and only to You. By submitting to You and You alone, they will be stronger and closer to You. When they die in this state, whether they lived long enough to witness victory, by Your permission this is glad tidings for them.
I pray for all Muslims around the world to be aware and help the Palestinians with whatever resource they can muster. Charity, prayers, tear drops, and assistance towards a fight in Your cause to defend their homeland and families, are all amal according to Your laws. Yaa Allah, please reward all these good efforts from Muslims all around the world with access to jannat. Whether we live to witness their freedom or not, let us die upon Your deen. Grant us all jannat, and let us meet those whom we prayed for and supported back in the dunya.
I pray for glad tidings for all the Muslims around the world. All who are oppressed either in Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Central African Republic, Myanmar, China, wherever we are.
I pray for all the non-Muslims around the world to follow the standards of justice and humanity that consensus has seemed to reach which results in all the same conclusions as the Islamic dalils do in response to all these oppressions. Really, everyone knows that oppression is wrong and that any excuses to obstruct peace and justice is mere play of politics that bare no justification.
After the Muslim army defeat in Uhud, the Kafir cried out that they are now even. The Kafir thought that “one defeat in Badr and one victory in Uhud” means 1-1, but they were deluded. Umar ibn Al Khattab r.a. cried back at them “We are not even. Our dead are in jannat, and your dead are in Jahannam!”
Yaa Allaah, I pray for the oppressors so that they realize before it is too late.
I pray that they realize that if they die in doing what they are doing now, there is only one place where they are heading?
I pray that they realize that even if they survive the battles, they will still die someday, and if they do not repent before they die, there is only one place where they are heading?
I pray that they realize that all they face is Jahannam, while those who are oppressed by them face jannat.
I pray that they realize that only by repentance and ceasing such monstrous acts will they be saved.
But if the oppressors do not repent and cease their acts, I know and believe with all my heart that You are Al-Azeez and Al-Hakeem.
Ameen yaa Rabbal ‘Aalameen
